We have all sorts of incredibly exciting plans for 2026, here’s a sneak of what to look out for.

2025 was very much a re-boot year for us. Re-circling in on the original spark that led to Crow Hill being set up we re-built the site from scratch, addressed the look and feel of our sample instruments, and did some important soul-searching about the content and resources we were making. Whilst also releasing a bunch of incredibly exciting new takes on sample instruments.

But… You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

We think 2026 is going to be like no other for us. We’re hopefully moving into a new HQ, what we hope will be the world’s first sonic workshop. We’re bringing back the vlog to bring you along on this journey alongside many other exciting projects some of which are already underway namely:

• More origins content on our YouTube channel. Long form videos where we go back to the beginning and study the future of music technology by looking how it evolved.

• More adventures in sound where we explore music making and technology away from home.

• We’re totally reformatting the podcast into a weekly live workshop, bench testing new tech, reviewing old, talking to guests, checking out sample libraries on Pianobook and welcoming our “Fellowship Of The Ring Pull” in for an extended weekly discussion into music that matters and matters-musical.

NEW YOUTUBE WEEKLY SCHEDULE

  • Tuesdays – Edited version of podcast posted on our XTRAS channel and all popular podcast outlets,
  • Wednesdays – Our new weekly workshop LIVE, come and join the conversation.
  • Fridays – Quality long-form content for everyone, every week.
  • Sundays – Our video blog.

RESOURCES

  • We currently have a dozen Blagsheets in development alongside a whole raft of useful resources for you to refine your craft with.
  • Our blog is growing by the weekl (see THE HUB) and we’re looking at a possible migration to Substack which we’re currently building (more on that soon).

TOOLS

  • Now we’re fully up and running with a new set of GUIs and engines there will be a backlog of exciting new inspiring sample-based instruments flying out.
  • Our vaults department is now fully operational with more exciting, more inspiring, more useful free instruments, every month, without fail, for you to keep for life.

NETWORK

  • With a new dedicated workshop in the making we hope to welcome you from all around the world to join us online via our YouTube channel, our Instagram, our forum and in person when we start rolling out live IRL workshops, and of course our bi-annual Edinburgh composer walks, which we hope to be bringing to a city near you too soon. Talking of which…
  • We’re coming to NAMM, fancy joining us for a walk and breakfast? Keep an eye on our socials for news regarding this.

What can you do to help?

We will always maintain we’re a company of like-minded music makers who wish to promote all that is good about making music and why no one no matter where you are, what means you have at your disposal, or indeed how much theoretical knowledge experience or practise you have got under your belt, shouldn’t at least once in your life try the thrill of making music for yourself.

How do we support this venture? Well by selling sample-based-instruments to those who can afford them. If you like the look of something please know that any purchase you make doesn’t line our pockets, it’s primary an income source that enables us to make more of the good stuff and keep going. BUT, if you can’t afford them, or indeed don’t fancy anything we make there is STILL a couple of things you can do.

  1. Join our mailing list so we can tell you about all the stuff we’re doing HERE.
  2. Subscribe to our YouTube HERE and Instagram HERE channels. These are NOT marketing outlets, these are where we centre our efforts and have the most fun.

But most of all we want you to take care of yourself for the forthcoming new year and wish you all the best in your creative endeavours, with your health and happiness. We’re here for you whenever you want nerdy company, technical insight, inspiration and goodies to play with. So come back soon, we love you!
