The Crow Hill Company mission is to create the highest quality resources, approachable and entertaining content, developmental and experiential opportunities, and an abundance of free samples and world-class composer tools that we can offer, to inspire and enable our valued Crow Hill community to create their best art. Here at Crow Hill, we strive to maintain nothing less than excellence and innovation in an evermore competitive space.
We aim to provide an ‘artist-sphere’ where our valued audience (or network as we prefer to call it) can access our extensive resources, our free sounds and composer tools in an inclusive space to share ideas, communicate freely and ‘make music your music’
We believe creating and broad, nurturing space for all music-makers to co-exist, from those at the earliest stages of their creative journey to consummate professional composers at the top of their game.
Our motto is ‘Make Music Your Music’ … within this phrase we love the complex imbued meanings, make music that is true to your authentic creative voice, make the music you hear broadcast YOUR music, make music your own composition, not outsourcing to AI, make music your music in that we encourage people to continue to buy music, like vinyl for eg, to put your hard earned pennies back into the industry we so greatly love and value, so it may thrive and prosper as a creative industry.
Original Founder – Christian Henson – Our original founder who grew up in a multicultural 1970s London to liberal parents who worked full time in ‘The Arts’ …. Christian has been a professional film and TV composer for 28 years, he was the original founder of Spitfire Audio before growing his venture. Over the course of 15 years, Christian had originally created a palette of sounds for his own use as a professional composer and then decided to offer those by invite only to his film world colleagues and the rest is history as they say. Christian felt so passionately about supporting his fellow composers and having learnt much along the way in previous ventures, he decided to found Crow Hill and reached out some chosen trusted and very much respected peers. As someone who truly believes in the power of art and artistic expression as being a healing and essential expression of the human spirit that brings us all together as a human tribe, he has sought throughout his entire working life to bring people the best sounds, music, content, resources and composer tools it is within his ability to create, curate and share… and so Crow Hill became more than a figment of his imagination and it’s self an expression of that artistic flair and generosity that he is known for by those who truly know him.
Secret Founder – Crow Hill is proud to have partnered with another composer both as investor and creative force. We are keeping news of this confidential for now until Q3 of 2025.
Co-founder Dot Allison – Singer-songwriter, musician, composer & co-producer. Dot’s voice, as can be heard in our Dulcet Voice instrument has been featured widely in film and television. She has worked with many world-renowned writers and artists like Hal David, Scott Walker, Massive Attack and Paul Weller to name a few..
As a working artist, Dot values the importance of keeping music as human as possible, and retaining the emotional connection in and seeing that as key to what draws people to connect with sound.
Co-founders – Ujam – Ujam are an immensely talented team of artistic creators of whom we highly respect and see as esteemed peers, we feel a shared affinity and a passion and a belief in the strength in mutual aggregation and a pooling of talents… so we reached out to Ujam to join us as part of the Crow Hill journey. In their own words:
Our Mission – We create great-sounding and easy-to-use music tools that enable people to make music faster, better, and easier’.
In addition to the founders we work with a small & carefully-chosen group of hugely talented creators within the Crow Hill family to bring you the best resources, free sounds and composer tools within reach.
