IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…

“The problem with orchestral FX is they tend to be an addendum to any sampling project. Hastily recorded extras with little time and attention spent on them as they’re a small part of what we use on a minute to minute, hour to hour or even daily basis. Thing is when we DO use them they’re always a big moment, a feature and there’s nothing more depressing than having one of maybe 1 or 2 effects found in a library everyone always has to choose from. I use these libraries and I hear other composers using them because the giveaway is always the orchestral effects.”

So says composer Christian Henson who has gifted the community a selection of epic bass slides recorded in a grand orchestral hall from his own private stash. It ay be just a vault but one with a rich and deep set of features and recordings.

In what is unique for a vaults product we have a dedicated effects macro that has been hijacked to perform the job of selecting the many bass slides recorded. The thing Henson wanted to also get when he recorded these was super long slides so you don’t have to devote a featured part of your score to something time stretched for your needs.
